How to cut and size your belt

1. Start by lifting the clasp and take the leather belt and keeper loop out of the metal clasp within the buckle. A small tool like a flathead screwdriver may help to open the clasp.
2. Place the opposite end of the belt with the holes through the leather buckle backing and the buckle itself, and pin the belt hole where you want your belt to rest at.
3. Feed the cut end of the leather through your referee or umpire pant belt loops.
4. Put the cut end of the leather through the open buckle clasp and pull tight to the desired fit.
5. Close the clasp.
6. Open the clasp & cut 3/4 of an inch in front of the teeth marks from where the clasp closed on the leather.
7. Reinstall the keeper loop & close clasp.
